Remembrance ceremony

We invite everyone who appreciates freedom, peace and respect, regardless of nationality or belief, to join our remembrance ceremony on the 4th of May.

In the remembrance ceremony at the cemetery of Nieuw Dordrecht, we focus on the 24 Royal Air Force crewmembers of 83 sqn, 101 sqn, 207 sqn, 487 sqn and 514 sqn, who lay buried exactly behind our memorial monument. It is our sincerest wish to NEVER EVER have to bury any war victim again in our cemetery. Therefore every 4th of May we commemorate all people who perished during the act of war upon present day so we have been living in freedom for several decades now.
These memorials, it should be remembered, represent the pain and suffering unto death of those who – volunteers all – did not return from duty.

They fought and worked to help rid their world of the evils of tyranny …The lives of those they left behind were changed, forever … ‘WHEN YOU GO HOME, TELL THEM OF US, AND SAY,FOR YOUR TOMORROW, WE GAVE OUR TODAY.
